Known for his whimsical and easygoing approach,

DJ Miggl - who has been voted among the top 3 Best DJs in DC by Washington City Paper's "Best Of DC" - has one philosophy when it comes to what makes a party: Anything goes + everyone’s going to have fun! Twenty years ago, DJ Miggl started in entertainment as a club promoter in Miami. In college, when he couldn't find anyone that could capture the feeling he wanted to bring to his parties, he jumped behind the decks and knew that’s where he belonged.

DJ Miggl takes pride in his versatility and his ability to pull together open-format video sets from multiple genres of music in both English and Spanish that span across the decades: He can take an audience on a musical and visual journey where they dance and reminisce with hot top40 and old school jams.

At Local Sixteen, on U Street in Dc, Dj Miggl has held his Residency spinning open format video sets every Friday and Saturday night for over 10 years. Along with being a club DJ, DJ Miggl has years of experience working with professional fitness instructors to make classes and events unique, seamless, and memorable, adding an element that can kick up the energy in any room. He has worked with Zumba, Freestyle Fitness, SWEAT DC, and GROOV3, among others . For the past 5 years, he has also DJ'd Stonewall Kickball DC’s All-Star games and Drag Kickball Tournaments +++

“I’m not the traditional club DJ, and I’m definitely not a regular wedding DJ: I’m a good times DJ, a trip-back-and-forth-in-time DJ. I like giving audiences unexpected songs and being able to take them from a 90s rock song to an old school hip-hop track, to a fresh house mix, sprinkle in some Latin flavor, and wrap it back up with hit after hit.”
